Vengaboys are back this christmas with a brand new single called "Where Did My Xmas Tree Go?" Bubblegum dance fans will love this cheesy and original song that captures the old Venga style, with of course their updated production from "Hot Hot Hot" and "2 Brazil."

"Eeeoo, where did my xmas tree go? Eeeooo, where did it go I don't know." We also learn in the lyrics that Uncle John (from "Uncle John From Jamaica") has recently passed away. Aww! RIP Uncle John! But don't worry, his daughter has left a magical bean so the good times are coming to stay.

Vengaboys also released a special Xmas remix album digitally which includes "Where Did My Xmas Tree Go?" as well as special Christmas remixes of 7 of their biggest hits. Be sure to check it out as well!

Dolly Style releases new single ''Upsy Daisy''

Swedish bubblegum dance group Dolly Style today released their new single "Upsy Daisy" on digital platforms worldwide. The new song has already been performed in concerts by the girl group, and has been circulating on social media and YouTube for many months now. It was therefore no shock when Dolly Style announced it would be their next single.

News of an album release has not yet been announced, though judging by concert photographs from their Facebook page (below), the group has a big youth fanbase in Sweden, so hopefully an album might be in the works.

Bubblegum dance production has been very quiet in 2015, with Dolly Style being the most promising of all the releases. While "Upsy Daisy" isn't as strong as it's preceeding singles "Cherry Gum" and "Hello Hi," we hope it does well enough to encourage an album release.

Smile.dk's new album to be called ''Forever''

Veronica of Smile.dk announced yesterday on Facebook that she is in the final stages of finishing her new album, which is titled "Forever." She says that the album will be available for sales towards the end of the year.

Many questions flooded in from fans all around the world, with Veronica personally answering them in the Facebook post. She has revealed that the album will indeed be a Smile.dk release, but will feature her vocals only, since previous member Cecilia Reiskog left the group in October 2013.

The album will be similar in style to past Smile.dk albums, suggesting it's not moving away from the bubblegum dance sound, however it will have "an updated dance version of some of the tracks." This suggests that "Forever" will be the new name for "The Makeup Collection" which was announced to be in the works over 6 years ago, and featured new versions of old Smile.dk hits as well as some new songs.

"Forever" is being produced by Christian Wolf, who has worked with Smile.dk in the past and other famous bubblegum dance projects, and according to Veronica will see a worldwide release on iTunes. She also announced in the same Facebook post that the China club tour that was scheduled for October and November is being moved to early next year to coincide with the release of the album, and first single.

We hope Veronica continues to keep fans updated on this upcoming release, as Smile.dk has been very quiet these past years with updates, probably due to it's changing member status and the fact that Veronica is also a busy mum. The last Smile.dk release came in 2011 with "Moshi Moshi" and a second single "Baby Boom" was announced shortly after though did not happen for reasons unknown. We look forward to more updates on "Forever" and will keep you updated as we hear them.

Dolly Style's Molly leaves the group

Just today, Dolly Style revealed on their official Instagram and Facebook accounts that Molly (Carolina, pink hair) has decided to leave the group. This is the second member to leave the group, after the original Polly (Emma) left Dolly Style in May this year. The official message states that they are sad to see Molly go, but will be looking for a new Molly to fill the spot.

"Molly/Carolina wants to meet new challenges in life and has therefore chosen to leave Dolly Style. We think this is extremely sad, but we will definitely continue with the band and we will do everything we can to find a new, amazing, Molly."

Carolina spoke up on her Instagram account shortly after in Swedish, and her translated message reveals that she was slightly distracted by what she thought was an unflattering photo they chose to use of her.

"...Right now I do not have much to say except that they chose a fat ugly picture (of me) to use, haha... Love you all so much for supporting me and hope that you will continue to support me in my journey, it is not over. Off with the wig on with life;) shooo dolly style."

The group had apparently already recorded over 9 new songs that are either planned to be part of a future album, or new single releases. However, with members changing almost more regularly than releases being made, the future of Dolly Style is looking rocky.

We will not be doing any live shows for a while but will be focusing on moving on in the best way possible. Therefore, I really wish that you will support Holly and Polly, who now needs you more than ever. We will all miss Molly and wish her all the best for the future."

Smile.dk announced today that they are officially back, with the launch of their new Website www.smiledk.se. The Website features a preview of their next single which will be called "Our Little Corner." The song has a very 90's/early 2000s flavour, which is true to the era of traditional bubblegum dance, and corner sounds like a very uplifting and bouncy pop tune.

Also revealed on the Website is a new remix competition, which gives fans the opportunity to remix not only the new single "Our Little Corner" but also 2 famous Smile.dk songs, "Butterfy" and "Boys."

The producers have provided the lead vocals, dub vocals and harmony vocals in high quality for the remixes. Smile.dk will be judging the best remixes to be featured on the new album release "Forever" early next year. The competition closes at midnight on November 30th CET.

Caramella Girls release Barbie Girl remake

Caramella Girls sneakily released a new song on Boxing Day 2015, a cover of Aqua's famous song "Barbie Girl," called "Candy Girl."

Caramella Girls' "Candy Girl" has slightly altered lyrics to the original, though the girls are still loving life in plastic, and instead of falling in love with Ken, they're chasing Ben.

The single came as a huge surprise, since Caramella Girls' official Facebook page makes no mention of the single (or various other singles since Tokyo in 2014), suggesting that the page is not being updated. However, it is great to see that the Caramella Girls project is still going strong, with new songs being released every few months.
